Hey guys. Been a while. Mostly browsing in and out. But working on the car mostly and working long hours. Anyways once i got the 3.25's and spool back in it went a little better. Finally got my tach working. 1/8 mi is the only realistic track around. 1/4 is so far away. I've had nothing but traction problems since I moved back out here. Adding the turbo didn't help. I could consistantly hook on 26 et streets no matter what. Out here, prep is just pathetic. I can't grab with 28's. It spins out the hole, grabs, then comes boost and it spins again. I am getting to see 1-2 psi out the hole. First good pass I hit 7.117@98.6. I got another pass later I didn't have to let out. It came down to 7.021@96.98. Need to find where that MPH came from. We kept dropping the tire pressure to find traction and ended up at 9psi. No luck, and it was not fun to try to control the car. Once I get the transbrake, and get traction, I hope to see 6.7-6.80's with the settings the way they are. Need to find a way to keep my collectors sealed. Wastegate is set for 8 psi, but leaks and I get 7.
tid bit of info

10sec,
Love the old school Stang, keep working on it. That thing's a sleeper.

Haha, I heard a few whispers. One old guy and another ricer that didn't like seeing a turbo on a classic. If I'm allowed to spend money, i'd like to go to the real 1/8. If you look in the pics, you can tell it's a parking lot.

get to a real track where they may be able to offer a goove and some VHT for your traction problem. Good luck with that. Nice name for your ride. Keep workin on it, just when you get it right, then make it look pretty!
Good on ya.

That's what I'm hoping for Tobin. Gotta get a cage in it soon. Gonna getted kicked outtta here pretty soon. Plan to make it more of a sleeper. Put the 16x8's back on, and the hood. And get a billet grill to fit over the IC once I paint it black.

Black is overrated and over dun on old cars IMO. I say he needs to jump the present bandwagon and go with a copper color that will turn some heads. It willalso bring the body lines out in that mustang!
10sec, do what will look good for you.

Haha. I meant paint the IC black. FLAT black that way it's harder to see behind the billet grill. The car is getting painted Orange. Which sadens me since I've wanted to paint a car orange for tens years. That color is becoming bigger and bigger. I'm still gonna do it though. Maybe with some ghost flames showing the orange paint peeling back. (don't tell anybody though) :)
